This month, our workplace superstar is Betty Ann Staab! She’s the one with the perpetual smile, no matter what craziness comes her way. Not only does she keep the office spotless, but she’s also the guardian of the ever-hot coffee, ensuring our comfort. Betty’s contributions far surpass the traditional receptionist role, extending her support to every department, even though her official role is within HR. She embodies the true spirit of a team player, always ready to lend a hand, often anticipating needs before they’re voiced. She’s like a magician behind the scenes, going above and beyond.

The dictionary defines a receptionist as someone who answers phones and greets visitors, but Betty redefines it. She’s the HR rockstar we all rely on daily.

We’re giving a big shoutout to Michael Senski for his awesome 6-year journey with us. He started as a Team Member and worked his way up to being an Assistant Manager, which he’s been rocking for a few months now. He’s been a huge help in lots of stores and even certified GSMs.

And guess what? Starting next week, Michael will be running the show at our Deptford store, the very store where his journey with us began. He’s been an amazing Assistant Manager, and we’re super excited to see what he does next. Way to go, Michael – you’re killing it!

Over the past five years, Amy Vasaturo has demonstrated unwavering dedication and rapid career growth. Starting as a Team Member, Amy’s ascent up our Career Path has been nothing short of impressive. She has managed multiple stores with finesse, showcasing exceptional leadership.

For the past two years, Amy has effectively led our National Park Store, exemplifying her dedication to excellence. Beyond her role as a Store Manager, she also serves as a Training Manager, displaying her versatility and expertise. Amy’s collaborative spirit shines as she readily supports fellow managers and the company as a whole. Whether in her own store or assisting others during their time off, Amy’s commitment to the team’s success is unwavering.

At Heritage’s, we believe in fostering a sense of community and togetherness among our employees. It’s not just about work; it’s about building strong connections and creating lasting memories. In June, we embarked on an exciting adventure by organizing a night out for our employees at the Phillies game. We are thrilled to share the incredible experience we had during Heritage’s Night Out at the Phillies!

With over 200 employees in attendance, the Phillies game provided us with an excellent opportunity to gather outside the office, unwind, and cheer for our favorite team together. The electrifying atmosphere was infectious, and our employees were right in the thick of it, joining the sea of fans who shared the same passion for the game. Whether it was a nail-biting moment or a jubilant home run, we experienced it all as one big, boisterous family.

Our employees work tirelessly throughout the year, and this night out was the perfect opportunity for everyone to take a break and relax. Heritage’s Night Out at the Phillies was more than just a baseball game; it was an expression of unity, camaraderie, and appreciation for our incredible employees. Events like these remind us of the strength that comes from togetherness, and we look forward to more exciting adventures in the future!

We are thrilled to shine a spotlight on Jennifer Lauk, a remarkable individual who deserves recognition for her extraordinary dedication and compassionate spirit. Jenn has not only excelled in her role as a member of Price Book but has also gone above and beyond to support Big Daddy, a responsibility that requires much commitment and care. Jenn has embraced this responsibility with utmost sincerity. She goes the extra mile to ensure that Skeeter Sr. stays on top of his health.

Jenn’s exceptional work ethic and tireless efforts were evident during the recent 4th of July party. She worked diligently not only on the day of the event but also in the days leading up to it. Her hard work and dedication shone brightly, making the party a resounding success. We deeply appreciate her commitment to creating memorable experiences for our team.

Beyond her responsibilities, Jenn’s kindness knows no bounds. She consistently volunteers her time to assist with various company functions and is always ready to lend a hand with the phones. Congratulations to Heritage’s employees who designed and created the company’s Paulsboro 4th of July Parade float, which received the Judge’s award in the Business category! This year’s 32nd annual parade was held in honor of the late Marc Kamp, one of Paulsboro’s most tireless volunteers who passed away last fall. The parade celebrated volunteerism and Heritage’s float thanked and honored all those who serve. Greater Paulsboro Chamber of Commerce member and parade organizer Judy MacKenzie is pictured presenting the award to CEO Skeeter Heritage and Accounting Department member Jackie Hanlon.

Spencer has worked for us for 7 yrs. He started out as a Team Member and worked his way up in the company thru our Career Path. He recently was an Assistant Manager and just last week he was promoted to Manager of our store on 322 in Glassboro.
