Heritage’s Launches “Hit the Trails” Campaign to Celebrate South Jersey and America’s 250th
As the country prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary, Heritage’s Dairy Stores is inviting the community to get outside, explore, and experience the rich history of South Jersey in a new way.
The company has officially launched its “Hit the Trails with Heritage’s” campaign, an initiative designed to encourage families, friends, and visitors to discover local historical sites, parks, and outdoor destinations across the region. Heritage’s is proud to partner with the South Jersey Cultural Alliance (SJCA) and Visit South Jersey on the campaign, bringing together local history, tourism, culture, and community exploration.
From scenic destinations like Red Bank Battlefield and Edelman Fossil Park to hidden gems throughout the region, the campaign highlights the simple idea that a great day of exploring starts with a quick stop at Heritage’s. Guests can grab everything they need for a picnic or day trip, including made-to-order sandwiches, fresh deli items, snacks, and cold beverages.
As part of the partnership, Heritage’s is also encouraging guests to download the new Culture Quest app from the South Jersey Cultural Alliance. The app serves as a guide to South Jersey’s rich cultural, historical, and recreational destinations, helping users discover museums, music, historic sites, art installations, parks, festivals, and attractions throughout the region. Through interactive features and curated experiences, Culture Quest makes it easier than ever to explore the stories and places that make South Jersey unique.
The campaign is especially meaningful for Heritage’s, a company with deep roots in the region. What began in 1930 as a small family dairy operation delivering milk by Model A Ford has grown into a trusted network of neighborhood stores serving South Jersey for four generations. Today, Heritage’s continues to build on that legacy, staying closely connected to the communities it serves. “Hit the Trails” reflects that connection by bringing together local history, outdoor experiences, and everyday moments.
“We’re entering an exciting time for both our country and region as we prepare to celebrate 250 years as a nation,” said Skeeter Heritage, CEO of Heritage’s Dairy Stores. “With Philly as the birthplace of America and its proximity to us, we thought it’d be great to lean into South Jersey’s heritage by partnering with the South Jersey Cultural Alliance and Visit South Jersey. South Jersey has a rich history with ample sites to visit, and we hope that this summer will be a time of celebration and exploration. We encourage you to download the app, visit these sites, and perhaps stop at Heritage’s on your way!”
By combining Heritage’s neighborhood presence with SJCA’s mission to promote the region’s cultural assets and Visit South Jersey’s efforts to showcase the area as a premier destination, the partnership helps shine a spotlight on the people, places, and stories that define South Jersey.
As the 250th anniversary approaches, Heritage’s is proud to play a role in connecting people to the history in their own backyard, one stop, one trail, and one picnic at a time. Download the Culture Quest app and start planning your next South Jersey adventure.
